How long does it take to the waterfall ?

For individuals with average physical strength and stamina, it typically takes around 30 to 40 minutes to reach the first stage of the waterfall. This relatively short duration contributes to the popularity of the hike. During our visit, it took us approximately 30 minutes to reach the first waterfall. If you are accustomed to hiking over rocks and traversing through streams, you can expect to reach the first waterfall in about 30 minutes as well.

How is the way to get to the Geta waterfall?

While there aren’t many markers along the path, reaching the waterfall is fairly straightforward as long as you follow the flow of the river. However, it is important to exercise caution in case the water level rises suddenly due to inclement weather or unexpected squalls. The jungle trek itself is not overly long, but it does involve traversing a combination of rocky paths and some less-traveled trails, making it a slightly more challenging route compared to the Pinaisara Falls.

*Hike through the river!

Although the path is not overly complicated, it is essential to wear appropriate shoes as you will need to hike through the river. After rainfall, the rocks can become extremely slippery, emphasizing the importance of proper footwear.

In preparation for your visit to the waterfall

Points to prepare:

  • Wear long sleeves and pants that can get wet to prevent injury (avoid short sleeves and shorts).
  • Wear marine shoes instead of sandals to prevent injury.
  • Wear gloves for added protection.
  • Avoid going alone and go with more than one person (preferably join a tour).
  • Plan to go in the daytime (preferably with a tour group).

It is important to note that there are various natural dangers in both the ocean and the forest, so it is recommended to avoid jumping in without taking proper precautions. Geta Falls may seem easy to navigate for those who are familiar with climbing streams, but inexperienced hikers may get lost, so joining a tour is highly recommended.
